معوقات ممارسة الأخصائي الاجتماعي للرعاية التلطيفية مع المسنين المقيمين بدور الرعاية الاجتماعية Obstacles to The Practice of Palliative Care by A Social Worker With Elderly Residents of Social Care Homes

استهدفت هذه الدراسة تحديد معوقات ممارسة الأخصائي الاجتماعي للرعاية التلطيفية مع المسنين بدور الرعاية الاجتماعية، وتمثلت هذه المعوقات في معوقات مرتبطة بالمسنين ومعوقات مرتبطة بأسر المسنين ومعوقات مرتبطة بالأخصائيين الاجتماعيين العاملين بالمؤسسة ومعوقات مرتبطة بالفريق متعدد التخصصات ومعوقات مرتبطة بالمؤسسة. وتعتبر الدراسة من الدراسات الوصفية التي اعتمدت على منهج المسح الشامل لجميع مؤسسات رعاية المسنين الحكوميةو عددهم (7) وتم التطبيق على جميع الأخصائيين الاجتماعيين العاملين بالمؤسسات وعددهم (63) أخصائي اجتماعي. وقد أظهرت نتائج الدراسة وجود معوقات راجعة لأسر المسنين بنسبة قوية وراجعة للأخصائيين الاجتماعيين بنسبة متوسطة وراجعة للمؤسسة بنسبة متوسطة وراجعة للفريق متعدد التخصصات بنسبة متوسطة وراجعة للمسنين بنسبة متوسطة.

Abstract:



This study aimed to identify the obstacles facing social workers in practicing palliative care for the elderly in social care homes. These obstacles included obstacles related to the elderly, obstacles related to the elderly’s families, obstacles related to the social workers in the institution, obstacles related to the multidisciplinary team, and obstacles related to the institution. The study is a descriptive study that relied on a comprehensive survey approach for all 7 governmental elderly care institutions, and was a[[lied to all 63 social workers working in the institutions. The results of the study showed the presence of obstacles attributable to the elderly’s families to strong extent, attributable to social workers to a moderate extent, attributable to the institution to a moderate extent, attributable to the multidisciplinary team to a moderate extent, and attributable to the elderly to a moderate extent.
